Bayview Cemetery Project - Began in 2019

GRAVESTONE MATTERS will be returning this year on August 7-10 to assist us with standing the very big stones in an upright position; which requires special equipment. You can participate if you have previously taken a class with us on how to clean or fix tombstones. For more informaiton on the dates and times please send us an email with your name & we will get back to you with the necessary information. This year we will have a workshop on"How to Reset a Stone", limited to 4 participants, the cost is $25.00 & a workshop on how to "Clean Tombstones" the cost is $20.00- The cost of the workshops covers the materials needed to use in the workshops. If you have taken the workshop previously, with us, there is NO CHARGE, You just need to register! We are working on a schedule for both of these workshops as they will be in the spring. Please check back on this website or call 207-733-2994 for more information & dates. Thus far over 450 tombstones, bearing the names of 445 souls, have been cleaned, 54 have been reset. Of the 54, 31 required some type of repair prior to resetting. We've added 122 names to the Findagrave.com website for Find A Grave
